Laughter, success, and a great time, at the first comedy show “Laughter in the Vines” Comedy Series at Folktale Winery.
You just have to love the commitment, vision, and persistence that the team at Folktake Winery in Carmel Valley have. Their vision of transforming their property into a vibrant setting of social, community, and artistic events is slowly taking root. A commitment of this magnitude, and the cost involved would have most likely discouraged most other teams. From their amazing music series with KRML “Live in the Vines” delivering quality acts, to the best industry night on the peninsula, and some of the best local live music featuring talented singer songwriters like Johan Sotelo, Mark Banks, and Casey Frazier, just to name a few. And now the launch of an extremely successful comedy series that took place in the properties barrel room. The show appeared to be sold out, and event producers John Fitzgerald, Marketing Director at Folktale Winery and Allan E. Kersgard of Carmel seemed extremely happy with the turnout, and great comments by guests. Local chef Todd Fisher from Tarpy’s Roadhouse restaurant in Monterey prepared perfect bites to go with folktale wine and the evening.
The show featured three comedians Diana Hong, Johnny Steele, and headliner Jackie Flynn direct from Boston. Jackie is known for comedic acting in movies such as “There’s Something About Mary”, “Shallow Hal”, “Stuck On You” “Me, Myself & Irene” and “Here Comes the Boom”. Jackie was also featured many times on the hit shows “King of Queens” and “Men of the Square Table”. Jackie can be seen headlining top comedy clubs throughout the US.
We will keep you posted on upcoming events at Folktale Winery.
